Miscellaneous information:
Nees (1836) erroneously cited "384" instead of "385". Moraes (2015) noticed that the correct name of this species may be Ocotea leptobotra (Ruiz & Pav.) Mez, depending on the species concept and on the accepted date of publication of the Laurographia by Ruiz and Pavón.
