Miscellaneous information:

van der Werff (2013) found no correlation among the characters supposed to separate Ocotea domatifera, O. humblotii, and O. pedunculata. Ocotea domatifera and O. pedunculata have domatia in the axils of the lateral veins on the lower leaf surface, whereas the type of O. humblotii lacks them.
